CIMA OT exams Top 3 tips - Get prepare for surprise

The OT exams test you in a number of ways, so be prepared!

one of the biggest challenges you have to face when taking an OT exam is making sure you know what to expect.

An example of this is getting to know the variety of question types you have to face during the exam.

With that in mind, here are top tips to help you deal with the OT question variety.

1. Read the question a number of times

particularly with short format questions it can be tempting to read the question and immediately go ahead and answer. This is especially true when you think you know the answer straight away. However even if the question is on a topic that you know well it's worth taking a moment to double check.

2. Come back to difficult questions later

Many students tell us that they struggle with the 'select all that apply' questions. If this is true for you then move on to answering the other questions first before returning to them at the end. With the time constraints you face in the exam, you don't want to get bogged down on one particular question type.

3. Practise before your exam

There is no better way of testing yourself against a variety of question types than by sitting Mock Exams.  Mock Exams are designed to include all of the question types you might face in your real exam, to ensure you become more adept at dealing with them. Why not take a look at  free Mini-Mock to see how  Mock exams work?

It doesn't matter how many OT exams you have taken, the examiner's will always throw in a surprise or two. That's why you need to be ready to deal with whatever questions you face
