Relaxation tips for CIMA exams

As we are all well aware exams are a stressful time, so it is important to remember to take the time to relax & unwind, as this can help your subconscious mind help organise its thoughts. Therefore, let's take a quick look at some relaxation tips:

1. Have a lavender scented bubble bath- it has been proven that the scent of lavender has properties which can aid relaxation. Combine this with the embracing warmth of a good bath before bed time and this can help you unwind from your busy day. Moreover, this will de-stressing technique can help ensure that you have a good night's sleep!

2. Exercise - various studies have shon that exercise releases endorphins that help alleviate stress. Additionally, exercise keeps you fit and healthy, which is just good in and of itself.

3. Go for a walk - if your day has been extra busy, it can be good to get away from built up areas and to reconnect with nature, so go for a nice country walk; alternatively if the open countryside is not easily accessible for you, then go for a walk in a nice park.

4. Stretch - many studies have shown that taking a few minutes out of your day to focus on your breathing and stretching out your muscles can help you tune out the hustle and bustle of a stressful day. Additionally- much like exercise -this helps your body release endorphins that relax you.

I hope this can be of some help to at least a few of you.
